This is in regards to adding TMobile Bluetooth Phone support to a
Surveyor Plus data collector.

!!!Please Note this is a ONE-TIME procedure that only needs to be done One
Time per data collector and it will not need to be repeated unless the
customer installs a new Operating System later or sends the unit in for
Service.


***I.  Setup a Bluetooth Cellphone Dial-up Icon***
This is a set of instructions for creating an internet connection through
an TMobile Bluetooth Cellphone.

Turn on the Data Collector

   1) Tap Start / Settings / Connections tab / Bluetooth
	Turn on BT / Make this device discoverable
	tap the Devices tab / tap "Add new device"
	Follow the prompts to Bond to the phone with passkeys
             Check the box for "Dialup Networking" as the Service / tap
FINISH
   2) In the Connections Tab = tap the Connections icon
	Under My ISP = tap "Add a new Modem Connection"
	type in "Tmobile" / pick Modem type of "Bluetooth"
	tap Next / tap the Device from Step #1 / tap Next
   3) Enter in the Phone Number exactly as shown below then tap Next
        *99#

   4)  Fill out the Username and Password as shown below then tap Finish
Username = leave it blank
Password = leave it blank
Domain = leave it blank



***II. Installing Resco Registry Editor***

1) Click the Attachment at the bottom of this article and save the 2 files
"Resco_Regedit.exe" and "Cingular.reg" to your desktop or "My Documents"
folder on your computer

2) Hookup your Surveyor Plus with a USB cable to your Laptop and make sure
you are Connected with ActiveSync

3) Double-click the file "Resco_Regedit.exe" that you downloaded in Step #1
/ Click Run when it prompts you

4) The installation wizard for Resco Explorer 2008 will open up / click
Yes

5)  A screen showing a list of components will be shown = to save time
UNCHECK these boxes:
 "FTP Add-in"
"Resco Today Plug-in"
"Desktop Shell Extension"

6) This should leave just "Reco Explorer 2008" and "Registry Add-in for
Resco" CHECKED / click Install

7) Click OK when it prompts you to Check your Mobile device / Click Finish
on your computer and click X to exit out of the registration screen

8) On the screen of the Surveyor Plus data collector tap the "Install"
button on the bottom left corner to install to the default location of
"Device" / tap the "Install" button a second time then when it says
Successfully Installed  tap OK in the upper right

9) Using ActiveSync on your Computer Copy the file "Tmobile.reg" from your
Computer into the "My Documents" folder on the Surveyor Plus. {Tmobile.reg
is listed as an Attachment at the bottom of this article}

10)  Tap the Start button / tap Programs / scroll down and tap "Resco
Registry" / tap OK to use "Touch Optimized"

11) Tap on "HKey_CURRENT_USER" / tap "Comm" / tap "RasBook"

12) At this point you should see this folderpath in your Status Bar at the
top left:
"\HKey_Current_User\Comm\RasBook”

13) Type the letter C on your keyboard and it should display a folder of
Cingular (if it does not then you have not followed Step # II above)

14) tap the Menu button in the bottom right / tap Import / tap on the file
"Tmobile" that we copied over in Step # 9 to highlight it

15) It should say "Registry script file imported successfully" / tap OK /
tap X in the upper right twice

16) Hold down the On_Off button for a few seconds until a Menu pops up /
tap the Reset button to reboot the data collector

17) To test our new connection go into Start / Settings / Connections tab /
Connections Icon

18) Tap Manage Existing Connections / tap and HOLD "Tmobile" / tap
Connect
	the double arrows in the upper right start moving together
	Returns you to the Connections screen
	Exit back out to the Today Screen

19) Tap Start / Internet Explorer {or Start / Programs / Internet Explorer}
and type in google.com then hit the enter key to see if it loads up the
google webpage.  If it loads a webpage like google.com or carlsonsw.com
then you can tap X in the upper right and proceed to Knowledge Base Article

***III. Configure SurvCE with the proper settings***
