Error “1606”

When you try to install or remove a Carlson program, you receive and error message saying: 
"Error 1606: Could Not Access Network Location"

This will happen if there is an incorrect setting in a registry subkey.

Both Microsoft and Autodesk are aware of this issue and have created Knowledge Base articles of their own to resolve this issue.

The resolution requires that you modify your registry.  This can potentially be dangerous, as modifying the registry may cause some programs to no longer function properly.  

IT IS ADVISIBLE TO BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES TO IT.
