This is for a Carlson Explorer 600+ using an Enfora GSM Card with Tmobile Wireless service.

This workflow explains how to copy a Tmobile Wireless registry file into the Carlson
Explorer 600+. After this registry file is copied, all you will need to do is use the new Dial-Up Icon and just tap
Connect. Tmobile DOES NOT require a Username or Password, so these should be left blank.

This procedure avoids having to type in several dialing property details, and avoids having to use the BVRP Pocket Phone
Tools program.

I. Install the Registry file
--------------------------
1. Save the attached file called "T-Mobile US.reg" listed at the bottom of this webpage to your Desktop Computer.

2. Copy this file "T-Mobile US.reg" to the "SystemCF" folder of the Explorer 600+

3. On the 600+ Data collector tap the Blue 2nd key then tap the "W" key to open the Start Menu / tap "Run"

4. At the run prompt type ‘regedit’ and tap OK

!!!WARNING!!! The RegEdit interface is a critical level of programming for the device. DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OTHER STEPS.

5. Tap the File pull-down in the upper Left / tap ‘Import...’

6. Double-Tap "SystemCF" / tap once on the file "T-mobile US" to highlight it / tap OK in the upper right.

NOTE: At this point it goes back into the Registry Editor, it does not give any confirmation of a Successful Import ---
so it may look like nothing happened, but thats okay.

7. Tap the X button in the upper right to exit out of the RegEdit interface.

8. Insert the Enfora GSM CF card into the Explorer

9. Warm Boot the Explorer 600+ by tapping the Blue 2nd + the "W" to open the Start Menu / tap Programs / Tools / Warm
Boot / tap Yes

II. Connect to the Internet
---------------------------
1. Go to Start / Settings / Network and Dial-up Connections

2. Double-tap the "T-Mobile US" icon

3. At this point - you simply leave the Username, Password & Domain BLANK and just tap the Connect Button in the bottom
left.

4. After pressing the Connect button the following messages will be displayed in order. If the connection is successful,
the “Connected” message will be displayed.

Opening Port
Dialing *99***1#
User Authenticated
Device Connected
Connected

5. At this point you are connected to the Internet and ready to go!
