Title: Power Monitor Error on Surveyor 2

If a Power Monitor error message appears repeatedly on a Carlson Surveyor2 data collector you can click the link below to install a Patch into your data collector to correct this issue:

***If you are in the field you can try the steps below as a temporary solution and then once you are back in the office, install the patch from the link above for a permanent solution:

1) Tap File / Exit / Yes to exit out of SurvCE if it is currently running.

2) Once you have exited out of SurvCE - hold the power button for a full 20 seconds and keep it held through the various boot screens that start and stop during this time.

3) After it returns to the normal Windows Mobile screen - Hold the power button for a few seconds and release it when you see the Pop-up menu.  Tap "Power Off" from the menu and tap OK to the warning.

4) When the screen goes blank for 5 or 10 seconds begin holding the POWER button and release it when you see the Keyboard or Screen light up

5) Once it returns to the main home screen you can run SurvCE and see if this resolves the Power Monitor prompts until you have a chance to install the permanent solution using the Patch in the link above
