Before performing a hard reboot of your Surveyor+, we would recommend attempting two minor reboot methods first.

For each of these methods, first exit the SurvCE program, if possible.

1) Hold down the power key until a window appears, which offers the various "power options". Then, tap on Reset. The
unit will then perform its system reset.

2) Hold down the power key until a window appears, which offers the various "power options". Then, tap on Power Off.
This will turn the unit off, effectively ending all processes and severing any faulty connections to external devices.
After a few seconds, you may turn the unit back on. The unit will then perform a more substantial system reset. You
will be prompted to calibrate your touch screen.

3) When performing a hard reboot on a Surveyor+, you are strongly advised to do the following, first, if possible:

#1) Backup all your jobs to your computer

#2) Make sure that you have written down your SurvCE serial number including the dashes.
The serial number is displayed in the SurvCE program, by going to the File or Equip tab, and then tapping on the About
SurvCE (0) option. Then, tap on Change Registration.

#3) Make sure that you have a record of your instrument settings for SurvCE. This means, how you have configured your
Total Station, GPS base and GPS rover, under the Equip tab.

3a. For Total Station, you will want to record the settings in your Coms tab and all subsequent tabs under Instrument
Setup.

3b. For GPS, you will want to want to record the settings in your Coms tab and all subsequent tabs under GPS Base and
GPS Rover.
If you are using a Reference Network, you MUST record all the information about your network setup, found under GPS
Rover: User Name, Password, IP address, Port, etc.

#4) To Perform A Hard Reset of Your Surveyor+:

4a. After backing up all your jobs to a computer, locate, but do not press, the following keys on your keyboard: Ctrl,
Alt, and the letter R.

4b. Hold down the power key until a window appears, which offers the various "power options".

4c. Then, tap on Reset. Immediately hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and R keys and keep them held down about 30 seconds then
release all the keys.

4d. The unit will then perform a more substantial system reset. You will be prompted to calibrate your touch screen.
You may need to reload your serial number and Equipment settings.

#5) After performing this Ctrl-Alt-R windows registry reset using the steps above it is recommended you perform a
Factory Reset to restore the data collector back to the proper factory defaults and re-install your SurvCE software
