This is in regards to using a Topcon QS with SurvCE 2.55 or higher

On the Topcon QS, always launch Standard Measure first (whether you plan to run Direct or Robotic)

#1) To run in Direct Mode: 
In the first screen of Standard Measure press the "MEAS" icon on the left

Once you are in the measure screen, you can run SurvCE and go into Equip / Total Station and set the
Manufacturer to Topcon Direct and set the Model to QS




#2) To run Robotically: 
In the first screen of "Standard Measure" choose the "PROG" button

From the "Program Mode" screen shown to the left choose Ext. Link which will automatically execute "External Link" mode

Once your Topcon QS is in External Link mode you can run SurvCE and go into Equip / Total Station and set the Manufacturer to "Topcon Robotic" and set the Model to "QS"

Tap the Comms tab and set the Type to "Radio (Bluetooth)" and set the Radio to the "RC4" option at the top of the list.

Tap the "wrenches" icon next to "BT Type:" and use the "Find Receiver" button to add your RC4 as a bluetooth device then tap the "wrenches" icon next to "Radio: RC4" to check your RC4 settings
