PROBLEM:

Client running on Windows XP is getting some of the following errors:

"BASE.DCL CANT FIND FILE"

“ERROR LOADING DIALOG CONTROL FILE"

"SEMANTIC ERROR(S) IN DCL FILE C:\PROGRAM FILES\CARLSON SOFTWARE
2006\LSP\SCADPROJ.DCL SEE FILE SURV.DCE FOR DETAILS"

CAUSE:

Standalone products have a secondary installation which triggers automatically the first time a User runs the program.
This secondary installation sets up the User as a recognized operator to run the software. At times this setup gets
corrupted.

This issue effects the User only, and not the administrator. Therefore, when running through the procedure below as the
User.

SOLUTION:

The idea is to force this secondary installation to happen again. Please follow the following steps to achieve this
goal.

NOTE! - Any customizations by this user will be lost after this procedure is completed.

1. In Windows Explorer, go to Menu->Tools->Folder Options. Select "View" tab. Under "Hidden filed and folders" make sure
that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected. Click OK.

2. Using Windows Explorer to navigate to this folder:
    c:\Documents and Settings\User_Name_Here\Application Data\Carlson Software

Carlson Software 2008 (for Carlson Survey 2008)
Carlson Takeoff R2 (for Carlson Takeoff R2)

NOTE: The folder name for the product you are using (shown above) applies through the remainder of the procedure.

3. Repeat the same in this folder:
