To access Bluetooth ActiveSync on the Explorer 600+ =

1) Tap the Bluetooth Icon down by the system clock

2) Tap the General tab in the upper left corner

3) Tap “Bluetooth Connection Manager” in the bottom left

4) Tap twice on the ActiveSync Connection icon and follow the prompts

5) If it asks for a Pin Code on your Laptop then key in 1111 and then key in the same thing when it asks for the pin
code again on the Explorer

6) When you are finished transferring data = tap the little icon in the System Tray {by the clock} to the left of the
Bluetooth icon / then tap Disconnect to cleanly close the connection

7) At this point, the ActiveSync should activate and the Green Circle should start to spin as it establishes a Bluetooth
connection to the Data Collector. Once it connects, you are all set.

!!!WARNING!!! --- When you are finished using ActiveSync you need to properly close the Bluetooth Connection each time
or your Data Collector may not work properly with GPS or Total Station equipment through Bluetooth = MAKE SURE to double
tap the little icon down by the Clock on the Data
Collector in the Bottom right Corner - just to the Left of the Blue B = it should pop open a Window that says Hide &
Disconnect --- TAP ONCE on Disconnect. Now after 5 or 10 seconds, the ActiveSync icon on the computer should change
from Green to Gray.
Now you have safely disconnected your bluetooth connection and you can power off your Data Collector.
