This error message indicates that the Data Access files were not installed.
This can occur if the CD is ejected following an install because certain files are installed during the restart process. Here is a solution:
[To install the Data Access components]
1. On the AutoCAD 2000 CD, locate the file mdac_typ.exe in the Data folder.
2. Double-click on the file.
3. When prompted, select Complete Install for the Data Access components.
4. When the installation is complete, restart your workstation and start
AutoCAD 2000.
