Title: Carlson BRx6 - Internal GSM network rover

This is in regards to using a Carlson BRx6 rover in regards to using the Internal GSM modem.

#1) Insert a Sim Chip underneath the battery door using the sim chip slot on the left with the label facing you and the notch on the right as shown in the image to the right.  

Insert the battery then close the battery door

#2) Make sure to attach the antenna labeled For: GPRS/CDMA 2000/WCDMA  to the port labeled "UMTS" on the right side of the unit as your looking at the display panel.

#3) Now you can hold the power button until the unit powers on

#4) Run SurvCE Version 5.03 or higher:

#5) Go into Equip / GPS Rover and in the Current tab set it to 
Manufacturer: Carlson and Model: BRx6

#6) Then tap the "Comms" tab and set it for "Type: Bluetooth" and "BT Type: Windows Mobile" and tap the "wrenches" icon to the right.  Tap the "Find Device" button and follow the prompts to select your BRx6 receiver then tap the bluetooth plug icon in the top middle.

#7) Once you are back in the "Comms" tab = tap the "Receiver" tab and type in a 6.562 foot rod height if you are using the standard 2 meter pole

#8) Then tap the RTK tab and set it to Device: Internal GSM then tap the "wrenches" icon and select your cellphone provider from the list such as "AT&T broadband" then tap the Green Check

***Please Note: you can view your IMEI number from this screen if your cellphone provider requires it

#9) Now you can set it to Network: NTRIP and fill out the IP address, Port, Username and Password then tap the Green Check twice to initialize the modem and connect to the network.
