This is in regards to using the 4G LTE modem in a Carlson RT3 GEO CELL model

You will need to request a micro SIM card with a data plan from your cellphone provider

***Please Note: a "Micro" sim chip measures 12mm wide by 15mm long. It will not work to use a different size sim chip

After you have a micro SIM card you can use the steps below to setup the 4G LTE modem:

1) If SurvPC is running tap File / Exit / Yes to exit the program then hold the power button down for a few seconds
until you see a screen that says "Slide to shut Down". Swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom to shut down
Windows

2) Remove the battery door from the back of the unit by sliding the lock switch open then remove the battery pack by
pulling up on the black tab on the front of the battery pack.

3) An image on the battery compartment label shows the correct location and orientation for the micro SIM card (slot on
the left). Pull the flexible card holder back out of the way. Push the card into the slot to insert it. Then push the
flexible card holder back into place, covering the card slots.

4) Replace the battery pack, and attach the battery door.

5) Turn on the RT3 tablet and then tap on the 3 bars in the top left corner then tap "Settings"

6) Tap on "Network & Internet" then tap "Airplane Mode" in the top left to make sure it displays "Cellular" and verify
it is turned on. If it shows "Off" then tap on the slider under Cellular to change it to "On".

7) After verifying it is turned on = tap on "Cellular" on the left hand side

8) Tap on the "Cellular" icon on the right hand side with the signal strength bars showing under it

9) Then tap on "Advanced Options" where you can scroll down to see the IMEI number displayed if your cellphone provider
requires it

10) To use an AT&T sim chip scroll back to the top of the Advanced Options screen and tap "Add an Internet APN"

11) For the Profile Name type in "ATT" without quotes then in the APN box type in "broadband" without quotes

12) Leave all the other boxes blank and scroll down to the bottom of this screen and set the IP Type to "IPv4" then tap
the "Save" button at the bottom

This completes the setup of your modem.
