!!! WARNING:  This screen capture software is NOT written by Carlson Software and we do not provide technical support for this software.  It is meant to be used as a 3rd party software tool to assist in documentation and reporting !!!


This software installs into the Surveyor+ or other Windows Mobile devices through a USB connection so you can tap the "Right Softkey" on the keyboard to create an Image file in the "My Documents" folder of your data collector.

#1) Exit out of SurvCE on your data collector

#2) If you are using a USB connection on your data collector plug in the USB cable from your collector to the computer and get connected with ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center

If you have Windows XP and need to install ActiveSync click the link below. After it downloads click “Run” and then Follow the On-Screen prompts to install it:

For Windows Vista or Windows 7 computers without Windows Mobile Device Center click the link below:

#3) After your connected - click the link below to download the file "Screenshot WinMobile Setup.exe" to your desktop:

#4) After the download is complete - run the "Screenshot WinMobile Setup" from your laptop or desktop computer / click RUN then click Next / click "I Accept" / click Next then click the Install button.  Click OK when it asks you to Please Check your mobile device.  Now you can click Next and click Finish to close the Setup Wizard on the computer.

#5) On your data collector - tap the "Install" button in the bottom left to install the software to the default location of "Device".  Tap "YES" in the bottom left to agree to the terms then tap OK in the upper right when it says "Ilium Software Screen Capture was successfully installed"

#6) Now tap Start / tap Programs / scroll down and tap "Screen Capture"

#7) Tap the MENU button in the bottom right / tap OPTIONS then set the "Select Key" option to "Right Soft Key" and tap OK in the upper right.  Tap "X" to close the screen capture window

Now its ready to use.  Any time you want to capture a screenshot on the data collector you tap the right "Softkey" button in the upper right corner just above "BkSp" and it creates an image in your "My Documents" folder such as "sshot000.bmp" which can later be copied to a thumbdrive or laptop computer for Documentation or Reporting purposes.
