These are directions for getting the Apache lightbar to work.

  1. Get a CB-7520 converter from www.computerboards.com
  2. Get power cable (item 270-026) from RadioShack
  3. Cut power cable in half.
  4. Take an end which looks like this:
    II XXX
    II XXX
    XXXXXX
    XXXXXX
    XXXXXX
    R B
    E L
    D A
    C
    K
    • attach Red wire from both power cable and light bar to a terminal marked (R)+Vs (pin 9) on the converter.
    • attach both Black wires to terminal (B) GND (pin 10)
  5. Attach remaining half of the power cable to a power source (12V)
  6. Connect White to Data+ (Pin 1) and Green wire to Data- (Pin 2) on the converter.
  7. Power the system. The lightbar will go through the self-test sequence.
  8. Connect converter to a serial port with straight through cable.
