Carlson products 2020, and later, will require the Sentinel Server 9.5.0221
version of the License Management software; as well as the Carlson LmTools 9_5_0221.Zip.
*Users of Carlson 2018 or Carlson 2019 may receive similar message asking to upgrade to 8.6. Please follow
instructions for 9.5.0221 instead, as the program is capable of working with the newer version of the server
software.
Please, replace any older versions of the Sentinel Server software with the newer 9.5.0221 version. This procedure is
outlined in the attached PDF file. Be sure to uninstall the older license manager.
If your server is already running the Sentinel Server 9.5.0221 license manager or newer, and you have a copy of the
Carlson LMTools 9.5.0221 on the server; no further action is required on the server side.
If you are upgrading your Carlson Software product, you will not require new license files; unless you are adding more
licenses, or moving the license manager to a new server.
Carlson license files from the years 2007 and beyond are compatible with the latest networked Carlson software.
If you are moving the license manager to a new server, you will need to submit a license request from that new server.
Each license file is specifically designed to run on the computer, from which the license request was sent.
When replacing your Carlson LMTools folder, please keep in mind, that we had previously recommended that your
network license files be saved in the LMTools folder, for safe keeping. If your existing LMTools folder contains a text
file with a date as part of its name; that is your network license. You will want to copy that file into the new LMTools
folder.
If you are having difficulty accessing the license files at the workstations, please visit Knowledge Base article
