COGO-Design Module

  • Data Collection – For downloading coordinates, added an option for point protect to check the coordinate file for existing data before writing the data collector point. For SurvCE transfer, added support for transfer via USB using ActiveSync and added a routine to upload a point number range of a coordinate file. Also for SurvCE, downloading rw5 files will create a second copy with a .sc5 extension to serve as an archive.
  • Field To Finish – Added new // special code that appends the full name of the second code.
  • Edit-Process Raw File – Added processing option for backsight reciprocals whether to average elevation or elevation and distances. Added processing options for store point records whether to always store, never store or store only when missing in the coordinate file. Also for store points, new process option to hold store point coordinates and report differences from measurements to these points. For reporting coordinate comparisons, added process option for check points based on a code in point description that includes the point number. After processing, added option to run Field-To-Finish for the range of processed points. On processing with adjustments, improved detection of closing measurements for better defaults of closure settings. Added a report option to use a tabular report viewer that groups sections of report data under separate tabs for quick viewing. Added report options for point protect and store point conflicts. For direct-reverse processing, reports difference between horizontal turned angles from FD-BD and FR-BR and added separate tolerance setting for these angle differences. For the graphics view, added an option whether to show the sideshot data. Added routines to create point groups for all the points in the raw file, for traverse points only or for sideshot points only. Backsight records will now keep both the backsight point and azimuth.   • Translate Points - Added option to define the translate by angle and distance values.
  • Scale Points - Added routine to calculate the combined grid and elevation scale factor for ground to grid or grid to ground from selected points. Includes a report feature that shows the scale factor for each point and the averaged scale factor.
  • Edit-Multiple Point Attributes - Added ability to set the symbol, layers and attribute layout for the selected points.

SurvNET Module

  • Coordinate System Adjustment Model - The 3D model of least squares adjustment is now supported. The main advantage of this adjustment model is that it is the preferred method of adjusting GPS vectors with total station data.
  • Input Files - GPS vector data can now be incorporated with total station data in a single adjustment. Vector files from Leica and Thales can be input. GPS files in the SiteNet format can be input.
  • Preprocessing - As part of the preprocessing process, traverse closures can be computed. Closures for loop traverses and point to point traverses, with or without angle closures, can be computed. Multiple loops in the same raw file can be computed. The preprocessing of the data has been sped up and better preprocessing error messages are generated.
  • Preprocessing Closure - As part of preprocessing GPS loop closures can be computed.
  • Computing Coordinates - The user has the option to compute unadjusted preliminary coordinates.
  • NEW Blunder Detection - New blunder detection method has been implemented that is effective in detecting if the same point number has been used for two different points. This method will also flag other raw data problems.
  • Blunder Detection - Another blunder detection method has been implemented that is very effective in isolating a single blunder, distance or angle in a network. This method does not require that there be a lot of redundancy, but is effective if there is only one blunder in the data set. Additionally, another blunder detection method has been implemented that can isolate multiple blunders, distance or angle in a network. This method does require that there be a lot of redundancy in the network to effectively isolate the multiple blunders.
  • Least Squares Settings - Differential level networks and loops can be adjusted using the network least squares program.
  • Geoid Modeling - Geoid modeling is now used in the least squares program. Users can choose between the Geoid99 or the Geoid03 model. The user can alternately enter the project geoid separation. The separation is used when combining GPS vectors with total station data and is also used in the computation of the elevation factor in the 2D model adjustment.
  • Settings - Added description code to identify duplicate points with different point numbers.
  • Adjustment - The speed of the least squares adjustment has been improved.
  • Least Squares Adjustment Options - The user can specify the confidence interval from 50 to 99. Previously the confidence interval was fixed at 99.

DTM-Contour Module

  • NEW Binary Triangulation File – Added a binary triangulation file format (.tin) which is twice as fast to load and save and half the size of the previous triangulation file format (.flt). The old format is still supported.
  • 3D Polyline By Slope On Surface – Added support for triangulation surfaces.
  • HOT NEW Create Ridge Polylines From ContoursNew command to create 3D breaklines between contours for ridges, valleys and summits.
  • Triangulate & Contour – Increased the triangulation speed by around 50% and improved the memory efficiency. Inclusion and exclusion perimeters are now embedded into the triangulation instead of just clipping the triangulation. Triangulation errors are displayed in a report dialog with the option to highlight graphically and mark in the drawing. Added New methods to interpolate breaklines for ridges, valleys and summits. For labeling contours, added option to align labels to face uphill.
  • Contour Labels - Added an option to use text wipeout and not break the contour polyline. When using the previous style of breaking the contour, added an option to set the gap size between the text label and the contour polyline.
  • Digitize Contours – Entirely rewritten routine to streamline prompting and work from puck keys. Added options for sketch mode, sound prompts, auto-close, increment elevation and toggle increment direction.
  • Surface Manager – Added function to remove selected triangles and option whether to show tin lines.
  • NEW Identify Predefined BoundariesNew command to show the assigned predefined inclusion/exclusion polylines in the drawing.
  • Make Grid File – For triangulation modeling, added the option to apply triangulation subdivision to make smoother grid surfaces.
  • Grid File Utilities – For grid macros with inclusion perimeters, added option to prompt for perimeters. Added functions for grid math by power.
  • Triangulation File Utilities – Added functions to offset perpendicular, min, max and merge triangulations.
  • HOT Design Pad Template – Added support for modeling with triangulation plus option to merge the pad with the original triangulation file. For the different slopes option, there is a graphic dialog for assigning the different slope segments.
  • HOT Edit Pad TemplateNew command to edit the pad parameters and recreate the pad entities and report. When used with a triangulation surface, the previous pad is removed from the triangulation before merging the new pad into the surface.

Section-Profile Module

  • Road File Selection - Added graphic previews for file selection of centerline, profile and template files.
  • Sewer Profiles - Added support for storing the manhole rim elevations and manhole ids to the profile file.
  • Circular Curve Profiles - Added a New circular curve profile type where the vertical curves are defined by circle radius instead of parabolic vertical curves defined by vertical curve length.
  • Input-Edit Profile - Added option to show a 2nd profile as reference. For road profiles, added dynamic report of sag-crest points as well as showing the points graphically. Also for roads, added function to set the vertical curve to pass through a point. Changed profile data entry to use a spreadsheet.
  • Profile From Grid or FLT - Added options to use a 2nd centerline for stationing and to create offset profiles.
  • Profile From Points On Centerline - Added options for railroad stationing and to use a 2nd centerline for stationing.

For redesigning a road, added an option to erase the previous road entities. Added an option to report the subgrade areas per station.

GIS Module

  • Define Template Database – Improved user-interface to be more straightforward and fewer steps. Added ability in field definitions to set default values and value ranges.
  • NEW Database File Utilities – New command to import GIS data from SurvCE/GISCE and from user-defined fields from text/ASCII files.
  • Create GIS Polylines By Interior Text - Added option to add data to existing closed polylines.

 

Mining Module

  • Fault Modeling - Added a New method for processing multiple fault polylines by inverse distance.
  • Conformance – For seam-specific, added the ability for strata precedence on assigning conformance. Also added a New seam-specific setup of assigning strata to conform from.
  • Draw Outcrops – When using a pre-calc file, added the ability to select multiple strata to draw outcrops.
  • Block Diagram - Added option to load the model from a Pre-Calc Grid File. Also added an option to draw the sides as 3D faces instead of hatching. Another New option to pick a multi-sided perimeter polyline for the outline of the block diagram instead of always rectangular.
  • HOT Fence Diagram – Added an option to hatch strata by a selected attribute with different colors by attribute value ranges. Added an option to not clip the strata with each other. Added an option to use a 2nd alignment polyline for stationing. Added option to label the northing-easting of the alignment polyline along the horizontal axis.
  • Draw Geologic Column – For the line-up position method, added ability to order geologic columns by projection onto alignment polyline.
  • Surface Mine Reserves – Improved the speed of this routine by around 20%. Added a method for setting the top and bottom surfaces as a fixed elevation. Added the active pinchout, conformance and process beds only setting into the top of the report. For the report formatter, added a field for the total pit area.
  • Edit Drillhole – Double-clicking on a drillhole symbol will launch Edit Drillhole for that drillhole.

 

Advanced Mining Module

  • Parent-Child Modeling – Changed the way strata quantities are effected by limit lines so that limit lines can be used to have both parent and child strata from strata splits in the same pre-calc grid model.
  • Reserve Classification – Improved the smoothness of the classification perimeters and added an option to generate pit polylines from the reserve areas.
  • Surface Production Timing - Added support for using a bottom surface grid file.
  • Define EquipmentNew user interface. Added import/export of data to files.
  • Equipment Calendar –Added report function for number of hours works, off and maintenance per equipment. Added function to clean out old records.
  • Grid History – The grid history information appends to the file after each operation instead of recording only the last function.
  • NEW Find PitNew command to locate the pit polyline in the drawing given the name.
  • NEW Pit Inspector New routine to display selected pit attributes while moving the pointer inside pit perimeters. Includes option to label the values.
  • NEW Pit Label FormatterNew command to choose which pit attributes to label and the format for the labels.
  • NEW Pit Points ReportNew command that reports the perimeter points of the selected pits.
  • Identify Pit Polyline – Pits are now selected by picking inside the pit perimeter instead of on the polyline.
  • Edit Pit – Allows editing the pit and site names.
  • NEW Reassign Timing GridsNew command to reassign the folders for the grid file names in pits.
  • Merge Pits – Routine will now combine any pit quantities from the original pits.
  • NEW Setup Property LinkNew command to assign external data links to property polylines.
  • NEW Property Data ReportNew command to report data from external links of property polylines.
  • Design Dragline Pit – Added ability to use triangulation surfaces as well as grids.
  • Design Bench Pit – When processing multiple pits, New option to prefix layer for polylines with pit name. Added support for open polylines where the bench slopes are applied to one side. Added the option to use 3D polylines for the pit perimeter.
  • Draw Dragline Limits - Added an option to draw the entities as a block to make easier to move as a group.
  • Cut & Place (Spoil Removal) – From within this command, added way to draw dragline limits.
  • Strata Polylines - Added support for thickness strata polylines in addition to elevation.
  • Invalid Strata Report – Improved to show all the drillholes with out-of-order strata not just the first two.
  • Calculate Residuals – Added option for reporting histograms plus ability to highlight outliers in plan view.
  • NEW Change Process On/Off StatusNew drillhole utility to set the processing status for selected drillholes.
  • NEW Make Top Of Key GridNew command that reads a precalc model and makes a grid for the top of key elevation where the key thickness is greater than a user-specified amount.
  • Auto-Run Strata Grids – When there is a problem processing a grid, the process keeps moving to the next grid and reports any problems at the end.
  • Drillhole Text Formatter - Added option to label thickness of missing strata as zero.
  • Statistical Analysis - Added option to use report formatter when calculating from grid files and using pit perimeters. Also added the average slope and direction when processing surface files. Added option for reporting histograms plus ability to highlight outliers in plan view.

Ore Module

  • Make Block Model – Added 3D Kriging as a modeling method. Added a method to model discrete data values like color and a New method to model by strata name. Added support for a fixed vertical size block mode.
  • HOT Surface Mine Reserves - Added a block model method for on-the-fly block modeling.
  • Draw Block Model - Added options to set layer for each grade and whether to draw each grade.
  • NEW Block Model ViewerNew command to read a block model directly into the 3D viewer window.
  • NEW Block Model InspectorNew command with real-time reports of the block model parameters as you move the pointer around the model. Includes option to label the model values.
  • NEW Input-Edit Block ModelNew routine to edit the block model grid files.
  • Define Grade Parameters – Added support for up to eight parameters per grade.
  • NEW Prepare Value Block ModelNew command to make a block model that represents the profit of each block.
