RDO Equipment forms new division to distribute Carlson Software machine control products

BILLINGS, Montana, U.S.A. (July 30, 2009) – RDO Equipment Co. has formed a new division, RDO Integrated Controls (RDOIC), for distributing Carlson Software’s line of machine control products. The focus of RDOIC is to be a full service solutions provider for 3D Machine Control and Positioning market segments in mining, construction, and landfills.

“We are excited about representing Carlson Software’s 3D Machine Control products,” says Adam Gilbertson, RDOIC General Manager. “Carlson is a market leader in software applications in the mining industry, and we are excited to partner with them to distribute their machine control software, which will increase the industry’s exposure to these versatile and comprehensive products.”

RDOIC has just completed a $150,000 expansion for a new technology training center and full service center for Machine Control and GPS repairs and calibrations. The facility boasts classroom seating for up to 60 attendees and a full service technical repair center. An aggressive training schedule is currently in the works. “Our new service center will provide factory service for Topcon and Carlson’s GNSS, laser and total station equipment line,” says Jay Mercer, RDOIC Director. “We have plans to expand our sales and service team for the second half of 2009 and into 2010.”
