The Oak Ridge Boys Will Perform at the 2019 Carlson User Conference

MAYSVILLE, Kentucky, U.S.A. (April 2019) — Carlson Software is proud to announce that the acclaimed Oak Ridge Boys, Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry members and Grammy winners, will be appearing at Carlson’s International User Conference on Tuesday, May 7th.

The concert will be held at the Washington Opera House, located at 116 W. 2nd St. Maysville, Kentucky and will begin at 7 PM EST. Tickets will be offered for sale to the community one week before the performance. All proceeds from the sale of the tickets will go directly to the Washington Opera House and local theatre group, the Maysville Players. The current Oak Ridge Boys consist of four members: Duane Allen, lead; Joe Bonsall, tenor; William Lee Golden, baritone, and Richard Sterban, bass. The group was originally founded in the 1940’s and was known as the Oak Ridge Quartet. Their popularity grew in the 1950’s when they sang southern gospel. In the 1960’s, they changed their name to the The Oak Ridge Boys and continued singing gospel until they started concentrating on country music in the mid 1970’s.

Several of the group’s well-known hits are “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” and “American Made.” The four current members have been together since 1973.
