Carlson Takeoff Suite Includes GeoTech, CADnet, Trench, and Construction

Rubber Sheeting

Image Rubber Sheet- New command to adjust an aerial image to fit specified control points.

MAYSVILLE, Kentucky, U.S.A. (July 31, 2015) – Carlson Takeoff 2016 has new and enhanced commands to easily add labels to drawing entities for Export Google Earth and data conversion features to convert Carlson points. Another top new feature is the Image Rubber Sheet, a new command to adjust an aerial image to fit specified control points.

“Takeoff is our popular and versatile solution for data prep and job estimating,” notes Bruce Carlson, president of Carlson Software. “It can be purchased as all one product as the Takeoff Suite, or, since the 2014 release, broken out into modules — Carlson CADnet, Carlson Trench, Carlson GeoTech, and Carlson Construction – to meet specific needs more affordably.” Takeoff is fully integrated with Carlson Civil and Carlson Hydrology.

Improvements for 2016 compliment Carlson Takeoff’s two design platforms, which include on AutoCAD® 2016 (sold separately), or the newly released IntelliCAD® 8.1, which is built-in. For those running the software on IntelliCAD®, the ribbon toolbar interface is now available in Takeoff 2016 to organize the tools necessary to create or modify drawings. Carlson Takeoff and its modules also work on AutoCAD versions 2010 and up.

Notable new commands in Carlson Construction and Carlson Trench include added methods to process, reverse the polyline, and to pick the point. Simplify your workflow with 3D data prep for machine control trench modeling and efficiently load a Carlson Grade Project into the 3D drive simulation.

The Carlson CADnet software allows users to generate CAD from non-CAD files. In addition to the rubber sheet command, almost a dozen raster options are built-in to CADnet for specific image editing, such as Raster Crop, Deskew, Mirror, and Brighten/Darken.

As with the modules in the Carlson Civil Suite, these new modules can be purchased and run independently or in conjunction with other Carlson 2016 products. They have been developed to work seamlessly with Carlson Civil.

With the release Carlson 2016, the Carlson Takeoff Suite joins Carlson’s flagship Civil Suite – Carlson Survey, Carlson Civil, Carlson Hydrology, and Carlson GIS – plus Carlson Field, Carlson Point Cloud, Carlson Underground/Surface Mining, Carlson Geology, and Carlson Natural Regrade with providing 100s of improved tools to complete projects accurately and professionally.
