From the Archives: Bruce Carlson’s Keynote from 2nd User Conference

March 21st, 2013

This April, Carlson will celebrate 30 years of providing those in the surveying, civil engineering, mining, and construction fields with powerful, comprehensive, and easy-to-use software.

There’s still time to sign up! Visit: for more details!

We’re proud of our wide range of products, and we’re celebrating with a User Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, designed to provide three full days of comprehensive training for Carlson users. Carlson staff will be there to answer your questions and talk to you directly about changes you wish to see in the software.

We’re always thinking forward even as we look back.

In 2009, President and Founder Bruce Carlson gave a keynote speech at Carlson’s second User Conference addressing the engineers and surveyors in the room who kept our world moving and building, even at the height of the recession. Bruce explains that the key to this market and any market is value, going on to explain the various value components that make Carlson unique in its field. While our products have developed and improved in the past four years to meet the demands of rapidly changing technologies, Carlson still remains committed to our valuable assets, including:

  • An advanced learning curve for field surveying. SurvCE will run on all interfaces.
  • Power features based on technology.
  • Free, quality tech support.
  • A highly partnered business model.
  • A commitment to working with all CAD platforms.

Core values in a rapidly changing industry will continue to carry Carlson into the future of land development and mining software. We hope to see you at the User Conference so you can see what’s new now and influence what is next for our company!
