Brian Hamm joins the Carlson Mining Training Program

Carlson Software Inc. recently hired Brian Hamm with the goal of enhancing and expanding the Carlson mining training program within its Mining Division. Hamm brings more than 15 years of mining industry experience to Carlson having worked for Massey Coal, Peabody Energy, and Patriot Coal.

A long time Carlson user, Hamm first used the CAD-based software in the summer of 1996 with a consultant group. Over the years, he has worked with Dave Carlson, VP of development for Carlson, in the expansion and testing of new routines. “The prompt responses from Carlson to my unique challenges was second to none,” says Hamm of his experience as a Carlson customer.

Hamm will add to the Mining Division’s training capabilities both on mine sites and at the Carlson headquarters.

Brian Hamm

Welcome Brian Hamm!

He insists that the perfection Carlson strives for in customer service is the best part of joining the Mining Division Team, noting, “Coming to Carlson Software is like joining a family — a family that truly cares about their employees and their customer base.”

In addition to his expertise with mining CAD software, Hamm has served as a volunteer firefighter and as an aircraft armament systems specialist in the United States Air Force.  Hamm, who recently relocated to Maysville, Kentucky, is bringing this unique background to Carlson along with his years of dedicated study to Carlson’s software solutions.
