L5 Navigation Systems AB to Focus on Drilling and Mining Applications

Luleå, Sweden (January 27, 2015) – L5 Navigation Systems has deployed three Carlson  Machine Control DrillGrade™ systems on Atlas Copco C65 drill rigs at Kevitsa mine, Finland.

L5 Navigation Systems AB, based in Avesta and Luleå, Sweden, has been a Carlson Machine Control dealer for Europe with emphasis on Scandinavia since 2013. L5 distributes the complete range of Carlson Machine Control systems, but focuses on DrillGrade™ for surface drill rigs and Carlson Machine Control mining applications.

Kevitsa is located in the very north of Finland, 130 kilometers inside the Arctic Circle. Average annual production at Kevitsa is currently estimated to reach 10,000 tons of nickel and 20,000 tons of copper.
