Join us for Carlson Mining Software training and our first ever sportng clays shoot. Since 1998, Carlson Software has hosted a mining users training conference showcasing the latest releases and offering hands-on training on our mining software applications.
Location: Located literally across the street from the Alamo, the historic Menger Hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel west of the Mississippi River. With a colorful history, the Menger Hotel has hosted many notable guests ranging from Teddy Roosevelt to Roy Rogers. Overview: Tuesday and Wednesday feature two full days of software training on the Carlson Mining Suite. Meet the members of the Carlson Mining Team including support, trainers and programmers. See and learn the soon-to-be released 2017 features. Get hands-on training on the Geology, Surface and Underground Mining modules, as well as other products such as Blasting, Survey, Hydrology, Civil and Regrade. New products, such as Precision 3D Topo and Drill and Blast will be demonstrated. You are encouraged to bring a laptop or notebook PC to follow along with the demos and tutorials handed out for the classes.
Schedule: The classes will run from 8:00am-5:00pm, with two tracks running simultaneously. You can pick and choose which classes and instructors you’d like to attend every 1.5 hours. Certificates of completion will be handed out at the end of the training.
Cost: The cost for the training is $1000 and includes 2 days of hands-on training, lunches and refreshments for the morning and afternoon breaks. Carlson will cover the cost of the sporting clays shoot for those that wish to participate.
Things to do: Thursday morning, Carlson will host a corporate sporting clays shoot at the world famous National Shooting Complex (NSC). This multi-million dollar complex is one of the most complete sport shooting and event facilities in the world. Located in San Antonio, Texas, it is the headquarters of NSSA and NSCA. This corporate event is all inclusive and geared for beginners to experience shooters alike. Instructors, referees, firearms and ammunition will all be provided. The sporting clays event will run from 9:00am-1:00pm. Transportation will be provided from the hotel and back. Thursday afternoon is open, which allows for everyone to travel home safely. http://www.nssa-nsca.org/
Alternately, if you prefer to do something else on your own Thursday morning, tour the Alamo with all its history, enjoy the Riverwalk and its many restaurants, take in a rodeo, or just enjoy San Antonio’s 300+ days of sunshine per year.
