A Practical Guide to Carlson Software Fundamentals 2016 Released

February 28th, 2016

CANBY, Ore. – Rick Ellis of Cadapult Press has recently released the newest book featuring Carlson Software instruction. The updated (2016) version of A Practical Guide to Carlson Fundamentals focuses on a helping people achieve a mastery of the areas of commonality between all the Carlson desktop solutions. These include Carlson Survey, Carlson Civil, Carlson Hydrology, Carlson Mining, Carlson Takeoff, Carlson Construction, and more.

“While each of these applications has their own set of unique tools and functions,” says Ellis, “they also all share an extensive set of tools for setting up projects to store and organize project data, working with point data, working with digital terrain models, exchanging data with various other formats, as well as basic CAD drafting, editing, and labeling.”

A Practical Guide to Carlson Fundamentals features 76 exercises organized into 34 lessons in six chapters. Each lesson includes detailed descriptions of processes and theory with many illustrations and diagrams to show the “why” as well as the “how.” This is college-level training material designed for use in schools, for reseller training courses, and self-study by end users.
