CG Software 101...

Back in 1978, two land surveyors in Atlanta, Georgia decided to create some software to aid them in their land surveying business. On their Radio Shack Model 1 computer, they created software that was so helpful, other surveying companies offered to buy it.

Over twenty years have passed and those two land surveyors, Edwin Cowherd and Dean Goodman, were instrumental in seeing the company grow into what C&G software is today. Thought Ed has recently retired, Dean continues to add his expertise in product development. C&G remains committed to their goal of providing the best land surveying software in the industry. They have continually expanded their products to meet the demands of the profession; to cover the spectrum of environments land surveyors work in.

Because C&G's sales staff, technical support staff, software development team and primary administrative officers have worked in the field and office as land surveyors, C&G offers expertise unavailable elsewhere. Their experience as land surveyors is how C&G became known as "The Muddy Boots Guys."

We're the "Muddy Boots Guys!"

In 1983, Ed Cowherd and Dean Goodman formed a new company named C&G Software Systems, Inc. This company marketed the land surveying software that Ed and Dean developed for use in their own practice.
