Takeoff Tip: Missing Layer Targets
Tue
May 04, 2010 1:30 pm EDT
“Error:
no materials defined. Run Define Layer Target/Material/Subgrade” is a
common error that occurs when the Takeoff directory is pointing to the
incorrect folder. Go to the pull down Settings > Configure >
Project/Data Folders and set the Data Folder Setup to Drawing Folder.
Now if you run Define Layer Target/Material/Subgrade the program will
find the .trg file in the correct folder.
Mailbag: Digitizing a TIFF File

Customer:
I've imported an image file [Draw>Image>Raster Image], scaled it
[Edit>Scale>2D Scale], but keep getting a 'your current pointing
device cannot be used as a tablet' error when I try to calibrate [Under
Digitize>Tablet>Calibrate]. What do I need to do?
Go
to Digitizer>Digitizer Settings and check ON "Use Mouse" and check
OFF "Auto Tablet On for Digitize Commands". Click Ok and you should be
able to run any of the digitizer commands with your mouse. Note: There
is no need to calibrate for "on-screen" digitizing an image.
