Carlson Software Acquires OutSource, Inc.
Maysville, KY - Carlson Software announces the acquisition of OutSource Inc., a 15-year old firm specializing in CADD training for engineers, contractors, surveyors and mining personnel. The acquisition strengthens Carlson’s position as a leader specializing in the engineering, surveying, mining and construction markets, and as a provider of comprehensive industry services to its customers.
With its nationwide experience, wide-ranging curricula and expert instructors fluent in multiple technologies, OutSource will provide a new dimension and increased value in training and services to Carlson customers. “We often find our customers working with multiple CADD products. OutSource provides CADD users with industry leading capabilities to assist them in the implementation of Carlson products as well as products from other manufacturers. Once customers purchase software, first-rate training becomes the key to unlock the full return on investment, and is helpful in establishing CADD standards and optimal workflow between departments. OutSource is well known for providing these solutions” says Bruce Carlson, President of Carlson Software.
“We understand that CADD is the main tool of our trade inside the office, and that CADD data drives construction in the field and in project maintenance. Our focus is on training, addressing immediate production improvements for customers as well as providing advanced training in state-of-the-art technologies such as 3D/GPS machine control, advanced surveying equipment, 3D laser scanning and recent advances in mining.
