CSI, upgrade from
AIMS accident reconstruction
software.
Carlson Software
Investigations (CSI).
CSI 2004 is designed to measure and map crime scenes and traffic accidents in
particular. It is an ideal product for use by city and county police departments,
State Police and consulting firms engaged in accident reconstruction.
CSI 2004 is an expansion of the original AIMS product prepared by Carlson Software
and sold by Nikon Instruments. It is recommended that police departments with
AIMS strongly consider upgrading to CSI.
The upgrade price from AIMS is $495 and new licenses are $1495. CSI 2004 has
the AutoCAD® 2004 engine built-in, reads and writes DWG files, and includes
features such as placement of photo images on the mapped accident scene. The
Accident Reconstruction Toolbox has been enhanced with improved reports. Reports
can now be exported to Microsoft Word. Personalization of reports and data entry
has been simplified by allowing for customizable tab labels. Drawings are easy
to edit, with multiple “undos” and “redos” permitted.
New features in CSI 2004 include an updated database used for speed-before-crash
determinations, with dimensions on all major vehicles through the 2003 model
year. Data collection support has been added for nearly all survey instruments
and data collectors, including Leica, Sokkia, Topcon, SurvCE, SMI, CG Field and
TDS. A new on-line word processor allows greater flexibility in producing the
accident narrative, including customizable titles, ability to insert user logos
as bitmaps, space for license plate number and VIN#, and the ability to export
to Word.
For a demo CD or further information, contact Barbara Carlson at 617-254-5429. For
upgrades from Sokkia LEA contact your local Sokkia dealer. |
